Waiting for an Assessment - 20th April 2023
This Pines Online session was run by the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service team. On the day the team answered questions about waiting for an assessment, but ahead of time prepared this fabulous video providing information about the NDAS service, what is diagnosed, who you might meet and helpful supports to access while on the waiting list.

Trish McQueen from Thriving Families - Education Options in Highland - 21st September 2023
This video is presented by Trish McQueen from the Thriving Families team. Trish outlines the legal framework around additional support for learning in Scotland and then looks at the options which might be available in Highland - such as mainstream (with examples of reasonable adjustments), specialist settings, flexi-schooling and home education.

Shona MacPherson Speech & Language Therapist - Transitions throughout the Day - 23rd November 2023
Shona MacPherson from the Pines Speech and Language Therapy Team gives an overview of transitions during the day and how you can help a child or young person move between activities. This includes things such as transitioning from home to school, and outside to inside. Shona gives an understanding of why transition can be difficult for neurodivergent children and has lots of advice and ideas to help parents and professionals.
